That’s a fascinating question — though still an area of ongoing discovery!

Currently, the **largest known planet in the universe** is **ROXs 42 Bb**, a gas giant exoplanet located about 500 light-years away in the constellation Ophiuchus. It’s estimated to be about **2.5 times the mass of Jupiter** and is considered one of the most massive planets discovered so far.

That said, it’s possible even larger planets may exist beyond our current detection range — especially since telescopes are always finding new exoplanets!
